Fir Square is a provincially run program offering stabilization and withdrawal management to substance using pregnant women. It is not a residential treatment program although women may be admitted to the hospital.
Burnaby Centre for Mental Health and Addictions (BCMHA) is a provincially run program offering inpatient treatment for BC adults, 19 years and older, with significant and complex mental health and substance use disorders. They offer services to homeless or vulnerably housed individuals and can include a stay of between 6 and 9 months.
The Heartwood Centre for Women is a provincially run residential treatment program which is guided by trauma informed principles and offers a team that includes Doctors, a Nurse Practitioner, Nurses, Counsellors, a Dietitian, a Social Worker, a Recreational Therapist, an Expressive Art Therapist, Yoga Practitioner, Indigenous Elder, and an Acupuncturist.
